Marketing student, Michigan.
Maryam studies marketing and spends most of her week making posts for real businesses near campus.
It started with helping a local smoothie shop post more than once a week. The posts got saved, people came in asking for the bowl from the photo, and the part where content actually does something became the interesting part.
Since then: content calendars, promotion for student org events, captions written in someone else's voice, and enough analytics to know that the favourite post is not always the one that works. Questions about the audience come before opening a design file.
Right now she is looking for a marketing internship on a real account, plus a couple of small clients on the side.
